Closing

I'm desperately thinking about closing the site. I just can't keep up with making graphics all the time, just to keep the visitor count up, which dramatically dropped after tons of updates. I just don't have the time or patience for it. I mean, yes, I sit around all day, but I've hit such an ugly graphics block that I pray people in my guild don't ask me to make the first layout. It's horrible. I just don't want to do it, anymore. Not to mention, I can't find any decent staff members to help me with this. The graphics community on Neopets has seriously gone down, or they have their own sites. It's so frustrating. When advertising, I get maybe one application of a person who has just started graphics and can't code. If that. I usually bump the board for nearly an hour and never get anything. Ugh. What do you guys think?

[Edit] Thank you for the support and suggestions. smile I'm going to try for staff, once more, and also try revamping the site, doing something new. I'll let all you wonderful affiliates know if I do temporarily close the site for a revamp session. happy

Wow, the oddest thing happened. One day, the visitor count dropped down far below 10, after being over 40 for about a week. It's so odd. I wonder why. cry And this was after updates. It's so weird.

Anyways, sorry I haven't blogged any time soon. I just got a new kitten and I was so occupied with him. He's so adorable. His name is Shiro and he just turned 7 weeks old. happy He's grey and white, with the prettiest eyes you would ever see! He's my loveable little fuzzball who just loves to be cuddled with and kissed. He's so hyperactive and climbs on you or cries if you won't hold him. He's also always up at all hours of the night, playing. He sleeps with me, too. laugh Wanna see some pictures of my baby? laugh

finals

You guys are AMAZING! I can't believe it! On Sunday, there were 100 unique visitors! You don't know how excited I was! I jumped around and did a happy dance! laugh Thank you so much! And today there's 62, and it's only 9:12pm. happy I'm so excited.

Alright. Now, to the actual blog. Finals are going to be going on Tuesday and Wednesday. So, I'm probably going to be quite busy with studying, sleeping, taking pictures, etc. I won't be able to make much updates, but I'll have you know that I have two Neo-related guild layouts. They're just uncoded at the moment. I'm also working on a third. I'm then going to start an HTML template (like websites, guild layouts, etc.) section. What do you think? Also, if you'd like to see any tutorials on the site, please post a comment or send me an e-mail at sadie106@msn.com. Once again, we're also hiring staff. I'd really like to have someone else other than myself. It's hard to mantain something on your own, especially considering there are these HUGE sites with like 20 staff members, while I don't even have one. cry

hectic

Okay. I am so sorry I haven't updated in like....since I re-opened. Things have been so hectic, here. I've been pounded with work, upon work, upon giant projects the crazy teachers want to fit in before the break. cry I'm really going to try to work on some layouts and such. I've been in a horrible graphic-block. I'm really looking for staff right now. So if you're interested, please please please apply! smile

Alright. Now for a small rant I must say. It really angers me. In my research class, we were given a virus/disease that we had to do a whole bunch of things with. Such as, notes, a case study, etc. Well, one of them was a website. And obviously, I was thrilled. I knew I would get a good grade, because that's what I do. happy Well. My hopes were brutally severed and thrown into a fire. I showed the teacher it and asked her if she thought I needed anything else. She took a small look at it, then gave me the most evil look you could ever think of, and told me it wasn't mine and I couldn't possibly have done it. See, we have a technology class and last trimester, the class was taught the severe basics of HTML and this week, we started Dreamweaver. She accused me of cheating with Dreamweaver! I would never! I coded the entire thing by hand! Okay, well, not everything. I used PSP for the image map. But that's not considered cheating because there are so many coordinates I would have to figure out in order to put the link in and I don't know anyone who could possibly do that. I'm so furious. But luckily, class ended right before she could really say anything. So, she told me we would talk later. Okay, maybe she got suspicious because I put the site as a sub-site on Turnip. But that's because my codes weren't working right, while they were running straight from my computers files. Maybe they will now, because I went home and fixed them. I was just getting so frustrated because I hate touch mouses. They're horrible. And also, I can access my site files on my home computer and work on it here, or at my dad's, or at a friend's house. Wherever. Ugh. It's so evil and I'm so upset she underestimated me. Does she not believe that maybe one of her students has been coding for over three years? cry

Okay, so sorry for that rant. grr

The past few days have been so interesting, and so much fun. smile Thursday was just a great day all around. I woke up and I felt so much better (i've been sick since Sunday). I was so happy and chipper and it was great. School was pretty fun. The usual stuff, though. Same classes. Same teachers. Same lack of work. I practically do nothing for two hours because I'm always done with everything. My teacher for Desktop Publishing is just so awesome. His name is Mr. Lowe. He loves my friends and I. happy We're not allowed gum or candy or food, but he really doesn't care. We're also not allowed to play music on our laptops, during school, but he doesn't mind, as long as it's not too loud. My friend and I just have so much fun during his class. Then right after, I have him for advisory. It's great. Then right after lunch, he co-teaches Technology with another awesome teacher. I did, however, suffer through my last class. It's horrible. It's called Cultural Literacy. It's a mix between English and History. There are two teacher for it. One just....'cares' too dang much. He's always into someone's business or yelling at them, or what not. Bah. He's so annoying. The other teacher is really nice. She's really down-to-earth and is really pretty. I wonder how annoyed she gets with him on a regular basis. Anyways, after school was great. laugh It was me, Mike, Susan, Tim, Ian, Clinton, and Beth. Haha, I know you don't know who half of those people are. laugh We just had so much fun talking and joking around.

So. Friday. It started out really bad. I couldn't wait for the weekend and I didn't want to go to school. I was so cranky and irritated. eek But about 20 minutes before Cultural Literacy was over, my mood changed drastically and I became so so so so happy! happy There were so many people there! There were also just random people who no one knew, but we picked up at Starbucks. laugh Susan kept saying that she was so cold, so Mike came and sat on her lap. She really had to pee. Mike started moving up and down on her abdominal, trying to make her pee. It was so funny. So I went and sat on Mike's lap and did the same thing. It was so amusing. Then, this guy Jamar (I love him, he's always so much fun) came running out of Starbucks and started pushing Mike and I back with his abdominal, on my leg. It was really creepy. It looked like he was humping my leg. blush So much fun. But we didn't manage to get Susan to pee. cry Mike was going to stay over, so he came over my house, once he got his things from his house. And when we got there, we ate......TACOS!!!!!!!! I freaking love tacos. They were so awesome. happy

Afterwards, my momsie went out and we watched 30 Days of Night. It was actually pretty good. The vampires looked like crackheads, though. They're more like creatures, than anything. I like the seductive vampires, better. laugh After the movie we ran all through the house, chasing eachother. I kept bothering him while he was knitting by plopping onto him and stroking his head. laugh We were making weird oragasm noises all night. I was so hilarious!

Today. It snowed. It was so cool! Mike and I got ready real fast than headed outdoors with umbrellas and camera in hand. It was pretty windy out. The snow stuck so well! It was really powdery, but it was wet, so it made really good snowballs eventhough most of the intended snowball stuck to my gloves. We were at this triangluar shaped, very small patch of grass that's set aside as a park that commemorates war veterans. There are three monuments (two on corners, one in the middle) for the wars that they found important. I believe the veterans are from places in my city. There's a small, stone pavilion on the last corner that's used as a bus stop. We bombarded eachother with snowballs around the pavilion. We got so many stares from the tons of cares that went by. laugh But, he had to leave at 5pm, so we had to eventually go in. Plus, my butt was really cold from sitting on the stone. haha

Haha, this may sound odd to add to a blog, but I've officially lost 5lbs! Well, at the end of the day. I may be less in the morning, once all of my food is processed. Weight Watchers WORKS!
